3.00 PM landing at Juanda International Airport Surabaya. Hei Surabaya im here... humm, my destination in here only House Of Sampoerna Museum and meet Mr. Albert. Phone him and go to his office by taxi with Hamka. Hamka is my travel mate, he pick me up from the airport. May be in next blog i will write a story how i meet him, may be not :)

With my friend Hamka and Mr. Albert visited House of Sampoerna, a cigarette museum at Surabaya. Before go to there Mr. Albert accompany us to go around Surabaya, Kya Kya road the china town and Kampung Arab which is most of the people are Arabian. I almost forget we also visit the Kenjeran beach, not reccomended. hahaha..

We arrive at 6.00 PM. This museum use an old building which in past is an orphan house. No admission fee if we want to get in, we only need to show them our identity card, children can't visit this museum. The decoration look so luxurious, all the stuff was organized, clean and no dust. With the yellow lamp this room look more classic and feels like home.

Cory, she guiding us through the museum, explain about the cigarette company history. Liem Seeng Tee an immigrant from China start the business. He makes a traditional cigarette made by hand and sell it in his house. By the time this business grow and grow and now Sampoerna become one of  famous cigarette company in Indonesia. We can see all the stuff relate to cigarette in this museum like the first kiosk use to sell the cigarette, tobacco dryer, clove, old lighters, Sampoerna cigarette packages, Sampoerna family photos and so many other things. The toilet decoration is very unique, the wallpaper was design same as the cigarette dji sam soe cover. Next to this museum there is A Cafe, serve Indonesian, Western and Asian  food. Live music in certain days.

This place brings out all the memories when i was work at It's A Store as a part time crew, Sampoerna retail store sells a merchandise. We are a big family and in this place i meet Mr Albert, most of the crew call him Daddy. He is a nice person. It's A store in Medan open since March 2007 and closed in May 2009. I have so many story here, we work, laugh and holiday together. The senior crew Hole, Isna, Arvana, Ilham and Lesti. Part time crew are me, Fari, Fitri, Veri, Sisi, Thami, Debby, Afhan, Patia, Masri, Vera and Jhony. A big and happy family, and this is my second house when i was in university. Even the store are close but until now we are still a family, we find each other and never end this relation. 

After visiting the museum and A Cafe, we go through the office yeay :). All the things done here, feel hungry, next we find a dinner.We eat Ayam Goreng President (President Fried Chicken), the chicken with traditional taste. So delicious :). Ha a good day in Surabaya 19th September 2013
